Glenwood’s quaint limestone chapel in the centre of a tranquil park-like setting, centrally located in Prince Edward County. The designated heritage site is perfect for your private services, celebration of life ceremonies, commemorations, or weddings. We have several chapel rental options available to suit your event needs.
The Stone Chapel was built in 1901, retains its charm and beauty of the Victorian era. This graceful limestone building is the centrepiece of the grounds. In recent years, the building has undergone extensive renovation including the restoration of the five stained glass windows.
Common Uses of the Chapel

Funeral Services
Glenwood's chapel is designed for traditional funeral services, and has been in service for our community for over 100 years. Accommodates 80 people in pew seating. Folding chairs and tables are provided, a large monitor for showing photos or to play music, and an antique piano for live accompaniment.

Celebrations of Life
Gatherings of friends, family and loved ones can rent the Stone Chapel to accommodate both secular and non-secular groups. We are happy to accommodate however we can to ensure a memorable and respectful remembrance of your loved one.

Performances
The Stone Chapel is available for rent for performances. Subject to availability, the chapel is exceptional for acoustic, orchestral, and jazz performances with the high arched ceilings.

Weddings and Ceremonies
A wedding in Glenwood's historic chapel would be memorable, intimate, and affordable. Invite your guests to witness your matrimony in amidst stained glass, a park-like setting, and a backdrop of rich local history.

Workshops, Meetings, and more.
Book your upcoming workshop in the chapel for up to 80 people. This community space is great for a class, lecture, discussion series or fundraiser. Please note that wifi is not available in the chapel, however a mobile hotspot can be signed out from the Picton Library branch.
